March 22, World Water Day

Mar 30, 2025

The accelerated retreat of glaciers is one of the most visible signs of climate change, with a direct impact on the global hydrological cycle, ecosystems and access to water as an essential resource for life.

In the framework of World Water Day, we at Profand want to reaffirm our commitment to responsible water management, which is key to moving towards a more sustainable and resilient development model.

Among the most outstanding actions in this line, are:

The recovery and reuse of 102,024 m³ of water at our plant in Piura (Peru) for irrigation of native forests, actively contributing to the environmental regeneration of the surroundings.

The 0.82% reduction in water consumption per ton of product marketed, reflecting our continuous efforts to optimize processes and minimize impacts.

The establishment of a corporate target of recycling 30% of the water used in our production processes, in line with our global sustainability strategy.

These initiatives are part of Profand's transversal commitment to efficiency in the use of natural resources and environmental protection, fundamental pillars of our long-term vision.

Preserving water is preserving the future. At Profand, we work every day to ensure responsible use of this vital resource.
