Premiere of the documentary "Sky and Sand. The opportunity to dream"

Tamberlick Cinemas in Vigo hosted the premiere of the documentary "Sky and Sand. The opportunity to dream", a Celta Media production directed by Gerardo Campero Zamudio.

This documentary reveals the story behind the social project promoted by the Fundación García Chillón Orlando in collaboration with the Fundación Celta in Senegal. The project focuses on the communities of Cap Skirring and Oussouye, where two new soccer schools have been inaugurated in partnership with Senefand, our subsidiary in the country.

The event was attended by Enrique García Chillón, CEO of Profand and president of the Fundación García Chillón Orlando, and Marian Mouriño, president of the Celta Foundation. Both highlighted the significance of initiatives like this to offer real development opportunities for children and young people through sports.

Following the documentary screening, a panel discussion was held featuring Esther Otero, head of the Fundación García Chillón Orlando ; Miguel Álvarez, trustee of the Celta de Vigo Foundation, and Mamadou Ba, Senegalese activist. The discusssion focused on the positive impact of soccer on the lives and its potential as a tool for social change.

The premiere was a resounding success, due to the overwhelming reception, a second screening was scheduled and is now available on YouTube.

The Fundación García Chillón Orlando focuses its activities on children, sports and inclusion. Through the Celta Academy in India, Peru and Senegal, it seeks to create opportunities for children and young people in vulnerable situations. Currently, a total of 2,000 boys and girls are part of these schools.

Since its establishment in 2021, the foundation has been committed to social reinvestment with the aim to create a meaningful impact and drive transformation in the communities where Profand operates.
