Lara Barazi, CEO of Kefalonia, chaired the FEAP conference in Lisbon

On November 21 and 22, the Federation of European Aquaculture Producers (FEAP) held its General Assembly in Lisbon, bringing together industry leaders and professionals to discuss key issues that will define the future of the industry.

Lara Barazi Geroulanou, CEO of Kefalonia, our subsidiary in Greece, as President of FEAP, participated in the discussions together with experts and representatives of the aquaculture community. During the assembly, key issues such as the incorporation of new generations into the sector were discussed, with contributions from organizations such as NOWA, Young Aquaculture Society and Women in Scottish Aquaculture.

Strategies to address climate change and strengthen the resilience of producers in a changing environment were also discussed. In addition, initiatives to improve fish health and welfare were highlighted, and corporate social responsibility metrics were reviewed to ensure greater transparency and sustainability in operations.

The General Assembly reflected FEAP's commitment to the development of responsible and sustainable aquaculture, adapted to the challenges of the future.
