On March 26th, the Teatro Afundación in Vigo hosted the prestigious Gala de VDistinguished Citizen of Vigo 2025, an event that celebrates those citizens and institutions that have contributed significantly to the development and prestige of the city.
Among this year's honorees is our president and CEO, Enrique García Chillón, a recognition that highlights his career and his contribution to the growth of our company and the positioning of Vigo as a benchmark in the global fishing industry.
Under his leadership, Profand has grown to become a group present in more than ten countries and with more than 5,000 employees worldwide. His vision, effort and commitment to sustainability have been key to consolidate us as a leading company in our sector, and this award is a reflection of all that we have built together.
Along with Enrique, other people and institutions that contribute to the development of our city have also been recognized. All of them, from their different fields, have left their mark in Vigo.
We would like to congratulate our CEO for this well-deserved recognition and thank him for inspiring us every day with his passion and determination. This achievement is also a reason for celebration and pride for all of us who are part of the Profand family.
