This September, our Seafreeze colleagues had the opportunity to participate in a charity tournament for the Point Judith Fishermen’s Memorial Scholarship Fund, this scholarship fund allows high school students in the Narragansett/South Kingston area within the fishing community to continue their education. With the support of the Point Judith Fishermen's Scholarship fund, as a community, we have the ability to empower these students.
The tournament was well attended by key players in the industry, including Rhode Island shipowners, suppliers of machinery and services to the fishing industry, as well as various financial institutions.
This event is not only a day of fun, but also a meaningful opportunity to give something back. The collaboration of all these participants was fundamental to the success of the event, underscoring the community's commitment to the well-being and educational future of the families who depend on fishing.
